pouring coffee over ice

Designed for speed without sacrificing clarity, this two-minute method delivers a crisp, vibrant cup that highlights the lively notes in your favorite coffee. No fancy gear, no extended wait—just a standard AeroPress, some ice, and a bright, refreshing pick-me-up. Let’s get into it.

Quick & Bright Iced AeroPress

Brew time: ~2 minutes
Yields: ~14 oz of bright, chilled iced coffee

What You’ll Need:

20g coffee (grind finer than pour over — think table salt)
280g water at 200°F
130g ice in your carafe
AeroPress (standard method, not inverted)
Paper filter
Spoon or stir stick

1. Prep your AeroPress
Rinse the paper filter with water and place it in the cap.
Attach the cap to the AeroPress base.
Place 130g ice into your carafe or mug.
Place the AeroPress directly onto your carafe or mug.

2. Grind & Add Coffee
Grind 20g of coffee to a medium-fine consistency (just finer than pourover).
Add the ground coffee to the AeroPress.

3. Pour
Start your timer.
Steadily pour 280g of 200°F water over the coffee within 30 seconds.

4. Stir
After pouring, immediately stir the slurry for 30 seconds (from 0:30 to 1:00).

5. Press
At 1:00, place the plunger on the AeroPress and begin pressing.
Press slowly and steadily, finishing by 2:00.

6. Finish & Serve
Swirl or stir the brewed coffee and melted ice to combine.
Add more ice to completely chill.

Enjoy the crisp brightness of iced coffee!
