What drives us? A desire to measure up to strict standards we set for ourselves, from field to final package. We seek out relationships with farmers whose restless quest for excellence matches our own. We partner with them through our cooperatively-owned importing organization, Cooperative Coffees, or we work with them directly. We roll up our sleeves together and engage in an ongoing conversation about the best ways to shape and preserve the flavor and personality of each crop, a cultural terroir as unique and indelible as a fingerprint.
Once the coffee is in our hands, we roast with curiosity and integrity, hoping to bring something remarkable to your cup. Our intimate knowledge of each harvest, and our highly tuned palates, guide us in unleashing the latent potential of each cup. We roast in small batches to order, creating a dynamic palette of flavors from subtle and nuanced, to bold and brassy, and ship our coffee within a day to best showcase the artistry of farmer and roaster alike.
We’re pleased that our coffee is recognized in periodicals like Coffee Review and Roast Magazine (Roaster of the Year 2010). And we’re proud to be a multi-year recipient of the Good Food Award.
