GIVING BACK TO PUSH US FORWARD.
Every year we donate 5% of our profits to community-based initiatives that support a more equitable and resilient future in the coffee industry and beyond.
5% GIVING HIGHLIGHTS
On the Ground - Project Congo
Through our partnership with the non-profit On The Ground, we encourage empowerment and equal pay for women in our coffee growing regions with educational initiatives that help families see that when women prosper, communities prosper.
Since 2016, the Muungano Cooperative has partnered with On the Ground to expand the scope of their GALS (Gender Action Learning System) training and their Credit and Savings Programs, which helps the husbands and wives of coffee farming families gain a better understanding of how prosperity increases when money is saved and women receive fair compensation for their work in the field, and when they are are given equal authority in determining household finances.
For every pound of our annual Project Congo blend sold, $1 goes to this project.
Valley Stewardship Network
Our annual gift helps the Valley Stewardship Network protects the land and waters of the beautiful Driftless region of Wisconsin our roastery calls home through water quality research, public engagement, and educational outreach programs.
Vernon Trails
We want everybody to get outside and enjoy the abundant natural beauty of our region. So we support the work of Vernon Trails, a vital community organization based in Viroqua, Wisconsin that has built many miles of mixed-use trails open year round to hikers, bikers, and skiers.
