Position Overview

As a Business Analyst you play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and operational efficiency at Wonderstate. You will be responsible for analyzing business, operations, sales, and financial information, preparing and delivering insights, and supporting analytical decision-making. We are seeking an individual who thrives in problem-solving, possesses a natural sense of curiosity, and is eager to contribute their experience to help build improvements within our core financial processes and systems. Additionally, this role will collaborate with other teams across the business to develop systems, provide financial guidance and insight, and ensure fiscal responsibility and sound decision-making.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including assessing revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed monthly financial reports for the leadership team, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards or reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Deliver clear and concise presentations to communicate financial performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Support the process of obtaining and maintaining B-Corp certification 
  • Collect, analyze, and create metrics related to the company's social and environmental impact.
  • Become an expert in Wonderstate’s operations & data systems to facilitate process improvement and accuracy in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.  
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering data, identifying trends, and making projections to guide resource allocation and financial planning.
  • Analyze sales data and cost structures to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs, help make decisions, and make sure department goals are aligned with company goals.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while working collaboratively with colleagues to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Required Experience

  • An Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
  • 2+ years finance and/or accounting experience
  • Demonstrates solid leadership and process improvement skills.

Work Environment

  • Core hours from Monday to Thursday; with occasional Friday or weekend availability as needed.
  • Hybrid working model, allowing one work-from-home day per week.
  • Salary range for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
