The AeroPress is one of our favorite on-the-go, adventure brew methods. With lightweight, not-easily-broken parts and relatively minor clean up, the AeroPress makes the perfect accessory for your paddling or camping kit.
Step one: Heat water
Heat water to just off boil. We recommend a temperature of 205-210 F.
Step two: Measure Coffee
Measure out coffee. We use 18 grams of coffee and 200 grams of water resulting in a 6 oz. beverage. This ratio is much stronger than our usual ratio recommendation of 1:16. If you would rather sip on a larger beverage with a less heavy body, feel free to add more hot water after brewing according to your preferences.
Step three: Grind Coffee
Grind coffee on a medium-fine grind.
Step four: Warm & Rinse
Insert filter and pour some water into the AeroPress to warm up vessel and rinse the filter. Discard rinse water.
Step five: Add Coffee
Pour ground coffee into upper chamber.
Step six: Add Water
Start timer and add water up to the number four on the top of the chamber.
Step seven: Stir
Stir to saturate grounds.
Step eight: Insert Plunger
Insert plunger to create seal.
Step nine: Brew for 1:45
Step ten: Plunge & Enjoy
Begin pushing the plunger down slowly and cheers to delicious coffee!
